In thermal desalination processes such as Multi-Stage Flash (MSF) and Multi-Effect Distillation (MED), copper-nickel alloys have demonstrated excellent performance in handling seawater. In reverse osmosis plants, nickel-containing stainless steels provide the strength and corrosion resistance required for high-pressure environments. By improving durability and reducing maintenance requirements, nickel helps make large-scale freshwater production more efficient and sustainable.
